Very difficult sleeping last night. What is happening is horrifying and repulsive on every level possible. This morning on Morning Joe, one of the roundtable members nailed it. People keep saying "this isn't America" and he said that yes, yes it is. What we are seeing now is the dark side of a country with a history of doing horrible things-- the slaughter of Native Americans, the Chinese exclusion laws, slavery, Jim Crowe, the Japanese internment camps..... When that orange brainless nazi swine started running, he gave the absolute worst elements of our country cover and the freedom to ditch the hood and robe and put on a MAGA hat and scream at Mexicans, feminists, blacks, the press, and libtards. The last time we saw anything like this it took a massive civil war to put the genie back in the bottle. The difference then was that the US government was on the side of decency and humanity. Somehow I am going to have to try to go to work and do my job and somehow function normally.
