This is beyond fucking disgusting. People not only need to be fired for this, they need to be slapped in shackles, forced on a plane, and dropped off at the front door of The Hague to be prosecuted for violating the Geneva Conventions. " The States Parties to the present Convention shall take appropriate measures to ensure that a child who is seeking refugee status or who is considered a refugee in accordance with applicable international or domestic law and procedures shall, whether unaccompanied or accompanied by his parents, legal guardians or close relatives, receive appropriate protection and humanitarian assistance in the enjoyment of applicable rights set forth in this Convention and other international human rights or humanitarian instruments to which the said States are parties. In view of the important functions performed in refugee protection and assistance matters by the United Nations and other competent inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations, the States parties to the present Convention shall provide appropriate co-operation in any efforts by these organizations to protect and assist such a child and to trace the parents or other close relatives of an unaccompanied refugee child in order to obtain information necessary for reunification with his family."
